“How You Love Me” attempts to depict the fallibility of perception in love. From the chemically charged, rose-colored glasses, to the lamenting end, “How You Love Me” addresses the effect of opinions on our relationships and the disappointment that inevitably comes from over-romanticizing another, complicated and fallible person. Neither heros, nor villains, just people, trying to love and be loved, and the sadness of unresolvable narratives that lead to relational demise.
